Couples journal app
the relationship is mostly random Tuesdays.
Anniversaries get the photos. Vacations get the albums. But a relationship, by volume, is Tuesdays. hodgepodge is where you keep those. Two small entries a day, one from each of you.

Most couples journals ask you to sit down together and write something meaningful. Most couples do that twice and then the notebook lives in a drawer. hodgepodge takes the opposite approach: instead of writing about the days, you just share them. Each of you adds the day’s tasks, one photo, and one thought. About two minutes, separately, whenever it suits you.

Tuesday
You left your coffee on the roof of the car again. It rode four blocks. A miracle.

Tuesday

“the long way home paid off tonight.”
The effect sneaks up on you. You see that their list was brutal by 9am, so “how was your day” becomes “I saw your day. Come here.” You find out what they had for lunch without asking, which is somehow one of the more intimate facts available about a person. Household stuff gets visible without anyone nagging: the returns, the tidying, whose turn the plants are.
no score. no couple’s “health” metric.
Keeping track of each other shouldn’t feel like a performance review. Just two small entries a day, and over time, a record of the life you’re actually building: mostly Tuesdays, occasionally fireworks. And on the days you’re apart (a work trip, a deployment of in-laws, an ocean) the journal keeps a thread of ordinary life running between you.

fair questions.
Can it be just the two of us?
Yes. Friendships on hodgepodge are mutual and chosen one at a time, so a couples journal is simply an account where you've each added only each other. Nobody else can see your days unless you decide to add them.
Does it work long-distance?
It was practically built for distance. Your partner's day shows up whenever they add to it, whatever the time zone: the appointment, the lunch, the thought at 11pm. You stop reconstructing each other's days on calls and start reacting to them instead.
Are there prompts, or do we have to invent things to say?
Light structure, no homework. Tasks and a photo need no inventing (they're just your day). For the thought, hodgepodge offers types to reach for: a gratitude, an insight, a lesson, a question, an observation, an intention, or an affirmation. One sentence counts.
