Hi there! I’m Brett Bejcek. hodgepodge is the app I built because my closest friends are scattered across the country, and our group chat (which I love) is mostly memes and links. I knew all their headlines and none of their days. Not the errands. Not the weird lunch. Not the thing they couldn’t stop thinking about. I missed them, is the plain version.

Around the same time, I’d started writing down a few things each morning. Not a productivity system, just answering one question: what am I actually doing today? It took two minutes and it changed how the whole day felt. I tried every app to combine the two habits. Social apps wanted me to perform. Productivity tools made it feel like a job. So I made the thing I wanted to exist: a shared journal for ordinary days. Tasks, a photo, a thought. Your people see the real version. An actual day, not a highlight reel.
