Terms of Service

Welcome to hodgepodge! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the hodgepodge application and website at hodgepodge.club (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use hodgepodge.

hodgepodge is operated by Click Clack Labs LLC (clickclacklabs.com). When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean Click Clack Labs LLC. “You” means you, the person using the Service.

1. What hodgepodge is

hodgepodge is a daily check-in app. Each day has three layers: your tasks (what you’re working on), a daily photo (a snapshot of your real day), and your thoughts (gratitudes, insights, lessons, questions, and more). Your friends see the real version of your day — not a highlight reel. It’s meant to be a positive, low-pressure way to stay connected to the people you care about.

2. Who can use hodgepodge

You must be at least 13 years old to use hodgepodge. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and associated data. If you believe a child under 13 is using hodgepodge, please contact us at hello@hodgepodge.club.

3. Your account

To use hodgepodge, you need to create an account with a valid email address. We use email-based sign-in codes (no passwords). You’re responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

You may only have one account. Your username must be appropriate for a general audience and cannot impersonate another person or entity.

4. Your content

You own everything you create on hodgepodge — your tasks, daily photos, thoughts, comments, and any other content you post (“Your Content”). We don’t claim ownership of any of it.

However, by using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account.

5. Acceptable use

hodgepodge is a friendly space. When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload viruses, malware, or any malicious code
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or any form of unsolicited outreach
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

6. Blocking and safety

You can block any user at any time. Blocking prevents that user from seeing your activity in their feed and removes their content from yours. If you experience harassment or encounter content that violates these Terms, please report it to hello@hodgepodge.club.

7. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on hodgepodge infringes your copyright, please send a notice to hello@hodgepodge.club with a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good faith.

8. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or conduct that is harmful to other users.

9. Push notifications

hodgepodge may send push notifications to your device if you opt in. These include friend activity alerts and daily reminders you configure yourself. You can manage notification preferences within the app or disable them entirely through your device settings.

10. Third-party services

hodgepodge relies on a small number of third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and realtime updates
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Expo — push notification delivery and app distribution
• Sentry — crash reporting and error diagnostics (technical data only)
• Amplitude — product analytics (usage patterns, not personal content)

11. Paid features

hodgepodge is currently free. In the future, we may introduce paid tiers or features. Any paid features will be clearly marked, and free features will remain free unless we give you significant advance notice.

12. No warranty

We provide the Service “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Click Clack Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Click Clack Labs LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

15. Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please reach out to hello@hodgepodge.club first — we’d rather work it out informally. If we can’t resolve it, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Click Clack Labs LLC regarding the Service.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
